Chapter 1
Karim üç aydır iş arıyordu ve sonunda bir yanıt aldı.
Karim had been looking for a job for three months, and finally he got an answer.
Bir tasarım şirketi onu salı sabahı saat dokuzda görüşmeye çağırıyordu.
A design company was inviting him to an interview on Tuesday at nine.
Bütün gece başvurusunu ve deneyimini tekrar okudu.
He spent the whole evening reading his application and his experience again.
Salı sabahı en iyi gömleğini giydi ve erkenden yola çıktı.
On Tuesday morning, he put on his best shirt and left early.
Ama metroda bir adam kahvesini tam gömleğinin üstüne döktü.
But on the underground, a man spilled his coffee right on his shirt.

Chapter 2

Karim had no time to go home and change.

He walked into the company with a big brown stain and his heart beating fast.
Toplantı odasında patron onu bekliyordu: bir kadın ve elinde bir fincan kahve.
In the meeting room, the boss was waiting for him: a woman holding a cup of coffee.
Gömleğine baktı ve bir an hiçbir şey söylemedi.
She looked at his shirt and, for a moment, said nothing.
Sonra gülmeye başladı: “Metroda kahve mi? Bana da geçen hafta oldu!”
Then she started to laugh: “Coffee on the underground? That happened to me last week!”

Chapter 3

Two days later, his phone rang: he had got the job.

The salary was good, the contract was permanent and his colleagues were very friendly.
İlk gün patronu ona bir hediye verdi: üzerinde “Metroda içilmez” yazan bir fincan.
On his first day, his boss gave him a present: a cup that said “Not for the underground”.
