Chapter 1
Sofia ve Max haftalardır şehir merkezinde uygun fiyatlı bir daire arıyordu.
Sofia and Max had been looking for an affordable flat in the city centre for weeks.
Bir akşam inanılmaz bir ilan buldular: büyük bir balkonlu üç oda, çok düşük bir kira.
One evening they found an incredible advert: three rooms with a big balcony, and very low rent.
“Burada bir sorun olmalı,” dedi Max. “Bu kadar ucuz olamaz.”
“There must be a problem,” said Max. “It can't be this cheap.”
Yine de ev sahibini arayıp ertesi gün için bir ziyaret ayarladılar.
Still, they called the landlord and arranged a viewing for the next day.

The landlord, Mr Rossi, opened the door with a huge smile.

Chapter 2

The flat really was beautiful: a bright kitchen, new furniture and good heating.

Then a strange voice came from the balcony: “Hello! Hello! Any coffee?”
Balkonda büyük, yeşil bir papağan oturuyordu.
On the balcony sat a big green parrot.
“Bu Paco,” dedi Bay Rossi. “Kırk yaşında ve bu daireden ayrılmayı reddediyor.”
“This is Paco,” said Mr Rossi. “He's forty years old and refuses to leave this flat.”
“Kiracılar ona bakarsa kira düşük kalır.”
“If the tenants look after him, the rent stays low.”

Every morning at six, Paco woke them up shouting: “Good morning! Coffee!”

At first it drove them crazy, but little by little they got used to him.

Now the neighbours know them as “the couple with the parrot”.
