Todos os sábados, a Emma vai a um pequeno café perto de casa.
Every Saturday, Emma goes to a small café near her house.
Pede sempre um café com leite e uma fatia de bolo de maçã.
She always orders a coffee with milk and a piece of apple cake.
O empregado, o Paul, conhece-a bem.
The waiter, Paul, knows her well.
Mas hoje o Paul não está. Há um empregado novo.
But today Paul is not there. There is a new waiter.
É novo e está muito nervoso.
He is young and very nervous.

O rapaz fica vermelho. «Oh, não! Desculpe. É o meu primeiro dia.»
The young man goes red. "Oh no! I'm sorry. It's my first day."
A Emma prova o bolo de chocolate. Está delicioso!
Emma tastes the chocolate cake. It is delicious!
«Não faz mal», diz ela a sorrir. «Fico com ele!»
"No problem," she says with a smile. "I'll keep it!"

Emma laughs. "Yes, please. That's my new order!"
