Chapter 1
O Tom tem uma gata pequena e cinzenta. Chama-se Luna.
Tom has a small grey cat. Her name is Luna.
Todas as manhãs, a Luna dorme ao pé da janela.
Every morning, Luna sleeps by the window.
Mas hoje a janela está aberta e a Luna não está lá.
But today the window is open and Luna is not there.
O Tom procura debaixo da cama e na cozinha.
Tom looks under the bed and in the kitchen.
«Mãe! A Luna desapareceu!», grita ele.
"Mum! Luna is gone!" he shouts.

"No, sorry," says the baker. "But take a bread roll!"
No parque, o Tom vê uma menina pequena com uma gata cinzenta.
In the park, Tom sees a little girl with a grey cat.
«Luna?», pergunta ele. Mas a gata não olha para ele.
"Luna?" he asks. But the cat does not look at him.

Chapter 3

Ele abre a porta. A Luna está lá, entre as camisolas dele.
He opens the door. Luna is there, between his sweaters.
E não está sozinha: há três gatinhos minúsculos!
And she is not alone: there are three tiny kittens!
O Tom ri-se. «Mãe, agora temos quatro gatos!»
Tom laughs. "Mum, now we have four cats!"
