Chapter 1
كانت كلارا تخطّط لهذه العطلة منذ أشهر: أسبوع على شاطئ البحر في مالطا.
Clara had been planning this holiday for months: a week by the sea in Malta.
كانت الرحلة في موعدها، وهبطت في المطار مليئة بالنشاط.
The flight was on time, and she landed at the airport full of energy.
لكنها انتظرت طويلًا عند استلام الأمتعة. لم تصل حقيبتها أبدًا.
But at baggage reclaim, she waited and waited. Her suitcase never came.
في مكتب الأمتعة المفقودة، فحص موظف متعب جواز سفرها وتذكرتها.
At the lost luggage desk, a tired employee checked her passport and her ticket.
قال: «حقيبتك في أوسلو. ستصل خلال يومين أو ثلاثة.»
“Your suitcase is in Oslo,” he said. “It will arrive in two or three days.”

Chapter 2

That evening, Clara bought a swimsuit, two T-shirts and a light dress.

The next morning, she was swimming in the sea while her suitcase was still travelling.
