Chapter 1
كانت لينا ويوناس معًا منذ ثلاث سنوات، لكنهما كانا يتشاجران كثيرًا في الآونة الأخيرة.
Lena and Jonas had been together for three years, but recently they had been arguing a lot.
كانت الخلافات تبدأ دائمًا بأشياء صغيرة: غسل الصحون، والهاتف، والتأخّر.
The quarrels always started with small things: the dishes, the phone, being late.
في صباح أحد أيام الأحد، بينما كانت لينا تشرب قهوتها، ظلّ يوناس ينظر إلى هاتفه.
One Sunday morning, while Lena was drinking her coffee, Jonas kept looking at his phone.
قالت لينا: «أنت لا تستمع إليّ أبدًا!» وخرجت وهي تصفق الباب.
“You never listen to me!” said Lena, and she walked out, slamming the door.
بقي يوناس وحده، وعلى الطاولة فنجانان وفطور بارد.
Jonas was left alone with two cups and a cold breakfast on the table.

When she came home, she found a handwritten note on the table.
«أنتِ محقّة. هاتفي الآن في الدرج. هل يمكننا أن نتحدث؟»
“You're right. My phone is in the drawer now. Can we talk?”
بجانب الورقة كان هناك فنجانان من القهوة الساخنة.
Next to the note stood two cups of hot coffee.

Lena talked about her stress at work, and Jonas admitted he was secretly looking for a new job.
قال: «لهذا كنت أنظر إلى الهاتف باستمرار. كنت خائفًا من إخبارك.»
“That's why I kept looking at my phone,” he said. “I was afraid to tell you.”
ابتسمت لينا. كان التواصل أسهل بكثير من الشجار.
Lena smiled. Communicating was much easier than fighting.
الآن يبدأ كل صباح أحد بهواتف مغلقة وفنجانين من القهوة.
Now every Sunday morning starts with phones off and two cups of coffee.
