Chapter 1
El pronóstico del tiempo dice: el domingo, sol y veinticinco grados.
The weather forecast says: sunny and twenty-five degrees on Sunday.
Mila y sus amigos organizan un pícnic junto al lago.
Mila and her friends plan a picnic by the lake.
Cada uno lleva algo: bocadillos, fruta, zumo y una manta grande.
Everybody brings something: sandwiches, fruit, juice and a big blanket.
Solo Tim lleva un paraguas. Todos se ríen de él.
Only Tim brings an umbrella. Everybody laughs at him.
«¡Mira el cielo! ¡No hay ni una nube!»
"Look at the sky! There isn't a single cloud!"

Chapter 2

They find a nice place under a tree and start eating.
A las tres, el viento sopla más fuerte y se nubla.
At three o'clock, the wind gets stronger and it gets cloudy.
Entonces, de repente, empieza a llover. ¡Y mucho!
Then, suddenly, it starts to rain. Very hard!
Los bocadillos se mojan y la manta está llena de agua.
The sandwiches get wet and the blanket is full of water.
Todos corren. Solo Tim se queda seco bajo su paraguas.
Everybody runs. Only Tim stays dry under his umbrella.

Después de una hora, deja de llover y vuelve a salir el sol.
After an hour, the rain stops and the sun comes out again.
Sobre el lago hay un arcoíris enorme.
Over the lake, there is a huge rainbow.
La próxima vez, dice Mila, todos llevarán paraguas. ¡Por si acaso!
Next time, Mila says, everybody brings an umbrella. Just in case!
