Chapter 1
El domingo es el cumpleaños de su madre y Jonas todavía no tiene regalo.
It's Mum's birthday on Sunday, and Jonas still doesn't have a present.
Solo tiene cuarenta euros, así que va al centro comercial.
He has only forty euros, so he goes to the shopping centre.
En la primera tienda, un pañuelo precioso cuesta sesenta euros. ¡Demasiado caro!
In the first shop, a beautiful scarf costs sixty euros. Too expensive!
En la segunda tienda, las camisas son baratas, pero a su madre no le gusta ese color.
In the second shop, the shirts are cheap, but Mum doesn't like that colour.
Jonas está cansado y un poco triste. ¿Qué puede comprar?
Jonas is tired and a bit sad. What can he buy?

"How much is this book?" he asks the old man at the counter.

Chapter 3

El domingo, su madre abre el regalo y no dice nada.
On Sunday, Mum opens the present and doesn't say anything.
Luego abre el libro y encuentra su propio nombre dentro: ¡es su libro de antes!
Then she opens the book and finds her own name inside: it is her old book!
Su madre llora y ríe a la vez. Es el mejor regalo del mundo.
Mum cries and laughs at the same time. It's the best present ever.
